The FINZ conference is a forum for emerging as well as established research within the New Zealand fashion research community. The 2008 conference theme of The Future of Fashion was a sound platform for my first research paper which discussed and gave context to future potential in the planned development of therapeutic pressure garment design. Abstracts were blind-reviewed and selected by a committee appointed by the conference convenors; the submitted full papers were finally blind double-peer-reviewed.
